Convertible Solutions Develops Double Weight Postcard Stock for Digital Presses
Sedalia, MO (PRWEB) August 24, 2011
Convertible Solutions has developed a new double weight postcard stock to enable the printing of 24 point postcards on HP Indigo, Kodak Nexpress, Xerox iGen and other digital presses. The Double Thick Impact Cards are designed for printers and direct marketing companies that want to combine variable data or short run printing with the tactile impact of an extremely thick postcard.
“Direct mail is an essential part of any effective multichannel marketing campaign,” explains David Williams, Director of Business Development at Convertible Solutions. “A well designed mail campaign can work on it’s own, or in conjunction with email marketing, personalized URLs, mobile marketing and QR codes to dramatically increase response rates.”
“Postcards are one of the simplest and most effective forms of direct mail,” according to Convertible’s Director, George Fry. “Thicker postcards stand out and have higher response rates than thinner cards, but producing a personalized postcard on a thick stock has been difficult. The digital presses required for short run or variable data printing did not work well with such heavy stock.”
To solve this printing challenge, Convertible Solutions designed the Double Thick Impact Cards to run through standard digital presses. Each press sheet is 12 points thick with cohesives on the back and a score down the center. The graphics for both the front and back of the postcard are printed on the front of the press sheet. When folded at the score, the front and back of the postcard seal together to create an impressive 24 pt card. The sheet is designed to print easily in most digital presses and can be folded with a typical bindery folder.
The Double Thick Redemption Impact Card is die cut with a tear-off redemption card and each sheet produces 4 cards at 4.25 x 5.5 inches each. A second version, without the redemption card, can be trimmed into 4 cards at 4.25 x 5.5 inches, 2 cards at 5.75 x 8 inches or one very impressive card at 8.5 x 11 inches.
After printing, the sheets can be UV coated to add gloss and protection, or a thin layer of lamination can be applied to make the card even thicker.
“Double Thick Impact Cards get noticed,” observes Convertible Solution’s CEO, Aric Snyder. “At twice the weight of a typical “thick” postcard, they catch the eye and the fingers of a prospect to generate higher response rates and better sales results.”
Convertible Solutions is a subsidiary of Inter-State Studio and Publishing company. In addition to the Double Thick Impact Cards, the company makes a full line of pre-converted stocks for envelopes, mailers and presentation folders. Convertible’s TRU-Flat® book binding technology is incorporated in Mohawk Fine Paper’s Panoramic book product line. More information is available at http://www.ConvertibleSolutions.com.

DCH Auto Group Offers Customers a Free Right Road Kids Super Pack — Special for Back-to-School
(PRWEB) September 09, 2011
Right Road Kids!™ and four of DCH Auto Group’s dealerships in Ventura County — DCH Toyota of Simi Valley, DCH Toyota of Oxnard, DCH Honda of Oxnard and DCH Lexus of Oxnard — have announced a new partnership program to support families with free customized Right Road Kids’ Super Packs when they visit the auto dealers’ showrooms this Fall.
The durable drawstring sports packs are loaded with Right Road character-enriching products including the award-winning, upbeat Right Road For Kids!™ “You Are Special!” DVD (which mirrors RRK’s award-winning classroom programs and features the nonprofit’s popular founder, Paula Phillips), the DVD’s companion activity/workbook, a children’s chapter book by Phillips about talents, a Right Road talent journal, wristband, bookmark, pencils, collector stickers, and other cool school supplies. The materials guide and encourage children to spend time identifying, exploring, writing about, and expressing their talents, positive traits, and dreams that will keep them on the “Right Road” in school and in life. The DVD recently won Dr. Toy’s prestigious Awards for “Best 100 Children’s Products 2011” and “10 Best Children’s Audio/Video Products 2011.” (http://www.drtoy.com)
“DCH Toyota of Simi Valley and Right Road Kids are putting smiles on the faces of our future leaders through the distribution of Right Road Kids Packs,” said Nick Dunlea, General Manager, DCH Toyota of Simi Valley, adding “RRK’s ongoing dedication to enriching the lives of our children is inspirational; Toyota of Simi Valley is proud to offer our continued support.”
Each of the four auto dealers will gift the packages to children ages 5-12 to enjoy while at the dealership, and to take home, expressly encouraging families to explore the positive, self-esteem building content together. While Right Road Kids!™ and founder of the nonprofit, Paula Phillips, often work through schools, DCH Auto Group ’s ongoing volunteer support inspired her to offer the dealerships a customized package for their customers with children or grandchildren.
“DCH Toyota of Oxnard is proud to be able to help Right Road Kids make a difference in the lives of children in our community,” said Steve Chapman, General Manager of DCH Toyota of Oxnard. “We look forward to continuing that support through the distribution of Right Road Kids Packs. We know the kids will love them and learn from them as well.”
This new program represents another big step in the ongoing efforts of both organizations in partnership, to improve the lives of children in their communities. DCH Auto Group team members also regularly volunteer to support the nonprofit work of Right Road Kids! at schools in the Ventura County region. The auto group is also sponsoring the Right Road Kids! Joy Awards and Forum at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library on September 24, 2011, which honors the work of outstanding educators and seeks to find creative solutions to today’s youth and education challenges.
Phillips hopes to see the program expand to other DCH dealerships in the near future as well, saying, “Partnership between schools, nonprofits, parents, and communities is a key to addressing today’s youth and education challenges in real, lasting ways – and we could not ask for more than all that DCH Auto Group does to support our work to help kids find and travel their Right Roads,” shared Phillips. “How wonderful is it that families can visit one of these DCH dealerships and receive a whole pack of fun, uplifting Right Road products for their kids!”
The promotion is set to begin in September and will continue through the fall, while supplies last. The partnership also includes plans for special events (such as Right Road Family Movie Nights) at the participating dealerships, to be announced to their customers via newsletters, e-mail blasts, and in-store posters.
Phillips and Right Road Kids! have been providing esteem, character, and enrichment programs to countless schools for nearly two decades. At the urging of teachers and parents everywhere, and with the help and support of creative and production professionals from several states, Phillips established Right Road Productions and recently began to offer the new line of positive and inspirational take-home products for kids via a new website. Additionally, the site offers a full range of “character-building” incentive items (postcards, stickers, award certificates) that educators can use in their schools.
The organization can be found on Facebook as Right Road Kids, and followed on Twitter as @RightRoadKids. For more information about the promotion or Right Road Kids!, please contact Beth Hilton, communications director, at 310-560-8390, or beth(at)rightroadkids.org.

Breaking News: Local Guerrilla Marketing Expo Presents Aug 19th-21st Fort Lauderdale at the Westin Hotel – Local Search Profiles Workshop
Ft. Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) August 18, 2011
Justin Handley is widely recognized as one of the top SEO specialists in the United States. He was a lead project manager on the team that built the platform for Cisco’s reseller program worldwide. In addition, Justin helped build a virtual community that grew to 500,000 members in its first thirty days. Justin then took his talents to helping local businesses and has successfully taken several new businesses from zero to over 1 million in their first 12 months. Justin then took his talent to helping local businesses.
At this workshop Justin will demonstrate:
How to get local businesses found online automatically by local prospects with a Local Search Profile.
How people are searching for every kind of business using the Internet and how every major search engine is rushing to become the next local phone book.
Now is the time to get businesses listed and take advantage of the growing numbers of people using local search to find businesses, services and products of all kind.
Statistics show that somewhere in the neighborhood of 69% of households do some kind of search for a local product or service on a daily basis.
So, the question is, how do local searchers search?
For shoes they type “Kansas City Shocks” or “Omaha shoes“
For an accountant it’s “Chicago west suburb accountant“
For computer programming it’s “Idaho .Net programmer“
That’s the reality of search on the local level and the search engines get it and are rushing in to be the big players in the local directory game and deliver search results all around town instead of just around the world.
Each of the search engines has set-up sub sites that specialize in helping people who are searching on the local level find businesses in their town.
So, let’s say you type into Google – “remodeling contractor 64114″.
The first results displayed are actually local directory results complete with a “map it” feature and all. Click on one of the local listings displayed and all of the information is presented. It’s almost like a mini web page for that business.
What this means to local business though is that they need to make sure that when someone does a search like the ones above, that they show up in those directory listings and in the normal “organic” search results for a local terms important to their business. If they can do that, they can achieve a huge advantage over their competitors.
LOCAL SEARCH ENGINE PROFILE
Local Search Engine Profile gives small business owners a way to easily create a master profile page of information to be used by the search engines, yellow pages and online directories listed above.
Completing this one stop online document also automatically submits this profile to major search engines, local search directories and local phone directories increasing their businesses ability to be found locally.
In addition, because this profile resides on the high traffic, highly indexed Duct Tape Marketing site, their profile will get found, ranked and indexed almost immediately (this will put their new web site on the map faster than anything else they can do).
WORKSHOP FOR CREATING LOCAL SEARCH PROFILES
Not only do local search profiles provide valuable, quality inbound links to business owner’s sites, they can also rank individually in the search engines, increasing their brand presence. Local search profiles are also incredibly important for mobile search. When conducting a search on their smartphone, must consumers are looking for quick information like a phone number or address. They aren’t going to take the time to dig through a business site to find that information. If a business isn’t listed locally, they are missing out on connecting with their local audience. For businesses that rely on local foot traffic, not having a local search presence could spell an early end for their business.
Here are 4 best practice tips for creating and developing a local search profile:
Claim A Listing:
Any business might already be listed in Google Places, Bing Local and Yahoo! Local (the big three local search engines). Customers might have listed businesses for the owner a long time ago. Owners can claim it as the owner and they’ll be able to add photos, videos, links and more. Plus, they’ll be able to see what kind of reviews are being posted and keep the information up to date. Bing and Google ask owners to verify their ownership by either calling at the number listed or sending a postcard with a verification pin to the business address.
Don’t Rush It:
Local Guerrilla Marketing has clients with upwards of 30 legitimate locations all around the country try to submit all their business offices at once, only to have half of them rejected. To the search engines, it looked like LGM’s clients were trying to spam the local search, even though all of their locations actually existed. If a business needs to list multiple locations, it’s wise to spread it out over a few months so the search engines don’t think the business is trying to trick them and flag them as spam.
Be Thorough:
The more information a business owner can put in their local search profiles, the better. Add videos, pictures, and hours of operation, payment options and so forth. You never know what piece of information a customer might be looking for. Bare minimum, a business needs their full address (including zip code!), a phone number and link to their main website.
Find Niche Locations to Create a Profile:
Some hometowns have a business association. What about hyper-local search engines specific to an area like WickedLocal.com? Aside from the Big 3 search engines, places like YP.com, MerchantCircle, Yelp, and Local.com are all popular local search engines with their own unique audiences. The more places a business owner can build a local search engine profile, the greater audience they can position their business perfectly in front of customers ready to buy now.
